This varies by product:

  • Traditional, Heritage, Manor, Courtyard: Use a 10mm spanner to open the hex bolt.
  • Goose Neck, Station Master: Loosen the wingnut by hand.
  • Gate Lodge: Use a 5mm Allen key.
  • Bare: Use an 8mm spanner.

Cast iron is extremely durable and resistant to corrosion, making it ideal for outdoor use. Unlike aluminum, which is lighter and less durable, cast iron can withstand harsh environmental conditions, similar to the materials used for ship anchors.

Yes, all our products are designed for outdoor use and have a minimum IP44 rating, meaning they are tested to withstand wet environments. Some products even have an IP65 rating for added protection.

Currently, we do not offer solar-powered options. The technology isn’t yet sufficient to provide the necessary light output for our products. We are monitoring advancements and will introduce solar solutions when feasible.

Foundation frames are recommended for easier installation of our products. They can be easily installed in concrete and provide a solid base for our lighting fixtures. Refer to the installation section above for more details.

Our products are treated with three layers of protective coating to prevent rust. If these layers are damaged, surface rust may appear, but it won’t compromise the structure of the lights. If surface rust appears it is possible simply use touch up paint to return the fixture back to its original state.
